Our wooden incense holders have landed!
These little discs of wonder have been many months in the making and have given Ben and I just the slice of creative hands-on time we’ve needed since we developed our meditation cushion collection in India last year. It’s felt good to tune into that intuitive, physical flow again after the ‘screen time stagnation’ we’ve both been suffering from lately and has reminded us of the importance of staying aligned with who we are and what we love to do: using our hands to make and manifest. As a carpenter, Ben has an amazing store of wood which we sorted through to find the perfect pieces for these holders and between a lathe, a chopsaw, a sander, a drill and a branding iron, these sweet little functional discs were born! We love incense and always have done (those of you who know Ben will know that he smells of incense 90% of the time) not only because of it’s incredible space-cleansing qualities but also because it invokes our love affair with the East; that smoky-sweet aroma takes us back to India in a single breath and helps us connect with the spiritual energy of that very special land.
